Hi Red and White Army,

Well, the World Cup has finally arrived and I guess this is one of the few times that The Saints don't have any members of the squad participating in any country's team. Mind you we are in League 1 and furthermore it's not that bad considering that these games have already started with enough injuries with various international players! So, luckily the Saint players are going to have a good summer break and get ready for a real thunderous push for promotions this season!!

Although it's not official, it seems like we have made our first summer signing today. Brentford's Full back - Ryan Dickson seems to be signed for a 3 year deal for less than 100,000 but the Bee's are looking for about 500,000 compensation as he's regarded as one of the most talented defenders in the division and at 24 years of age he can only get better!!

Now, the fun part of my job!!

Southampton Fc Malta have decided to do a Summer World Cup BBQ at Jon's Penthouse in Bugibba (near Topas) in honour to our dear friend - James Pitciathley. This lad always helps us Saints on the island being one of the staff at St.Mary's. If it's for any info or purchases from the club he's the man, and the least we can do in appreciation is to turn up.

On the day of the BBQ, which is Friday the 18th June, England are playing Algeria at 20:30 so, we have all the ingredients to have a fantastic night together. ( I recon that if we try to turn up at about 19:00 we should be fine) Jon is going to provide for all of the starters, food (to be cooked on the grill), charcoal and his/wife's time to prepare things. The best way to cover all costs would be in counting all the costs and split them out evenly.

Now, I'm leaving the most important thing last, DRINKS!! The best way to tackle this delicate and important issue is this - everyone brings his own vices, so, then he can calculate in his own conscious how much calories Jon's sausages didn't have!!
