Hi Saints,

Now, on paper this should be a good winnable game like the one at Exeter or Brentford, let's hope we've put the 'of course we will win' attitude and fight like every game was a final. With that mentality, sprit and the team we have no one can stand in our way. Enough from me let's concentrate on today's game.

So, M.Schneiderlin picked up a knock in the 2-0 victory over Norwich on Saturday and is rated doubtful for today's match at Adam's Park. Defender Dan Seaborne is out as he is undergoing scans to find the extent of a knee injury which must of occurred in training.

Wycombe's game comes a week too soon for striker David Connolly who will once again miss out with the groin injury which has sidelined him since December, but he could be back for the weekend game against Walsall. This is good news as A.Pardew has been insisting that at some point wants to rest Rickie which has played nearly every minute of each game and this is not healthy for the sticker.

Wycombe's team news look worst than ours as Waddock will be without the services of midfielder Gareth Ainsworth and without defender Leon Johnson (knee), Adam Hinshelwood (knee), Ian Westlake (ankle) and Matt Bloomfield (knee). So, like I said we are looking better then the home side.

Although, let us keep in mind that the Chairboys are fighting for survival at the moment and just have beaten Millwall at Adam's Park. So, let's see how much fight the Goose has tonight!!

Kick off- It's raining and this is going to be a problem for both teams let's hope it's to suite our advantage. Rickie Lambert and new hero Lee Barnard are up front for the Saints. The Saint supporters that made the hour and half journey are in good voice tonight and are cheering the team.

After 10mins Wycombe look like the brighter team and Kelvin is called upon to do a couple of saves. Wycombe are playing the long ball tactic that cuts the midfield, definitely not our type of game but with the state of the muddy pitch quite ideal!

Kelvin makes a fantastic save that has come from a corner on the left hand side which wasn't dealt by from the defenders on 19mins.

Wycombe Goaler, T. Heaton hasn't done any kind of special save that I recall at the moment and the Saints must really get there game in play and do some pressure on them. We've got the man power and the quality so, let's play!

P.Wotton comes on and Antonio is off, so, this is a tactical move we need to put muscle in the middle, speed is no option because the pitch isn't playable. It's sticky, muddy and boggy. 33mins

Keates makes a great run and tries to score from 20 yards out, when he strikes the ball trying to catch Kelvin out of his box. The strong shoot is saved and nearly passes from between Kelvin's legs and is saved on the second attempt just on the line. Phew!

We need the flanks and midfield to start playing and feeding the balls up front. This looks like a total different team from the one at Carrow Road, COYR!!

First half- Not a buetiful half to comment about I can tell you that guys. Neither of the 2 Saint stickers have really troubled Heaton and exept from a bit of play and pressure from Lallana we would have practically done noting special in this half let's hope for a better half from the Saints. A.Pardew needs to get out some kind of plan for this tuff game.

Second Half- So, no changes made for both teams. We need to get some sort of supply to the strikers in this half.

This game is surely going to go to an odd goal by the look of things!

Wycombe are playing good and have kept our midfield under control. Fonte and Jahidi are looking strong at the back and are keeping the door locked at the back, so far so good.

At Brentford and Exeter we went wrong because we allowed ourselves to be hustled out of our stride lets hope that this match opens up for us.

The best build up so far for the Saints when, Puncheon get's the ball on the wing and crosses to Lambert which passes the ball to Lallana and the ball goes slightly wide over the bar. 62mins

Then after a few minutes Puncheon cuts in again from the flank and passes a golden ball to Lambert's head from 4 yards out and it goes straight into Heaton's hands. The ball needed a bit more strength and we would be on front. Good play we got a brighter game now.

Then Pittman comes one on one with Kelvin Davis when the ball is long passed over the defense and Super Kelvin saves with his right hand, super save.

Lee Barnard is coming off and Papa Wiago is coming on, let's hope that his fresh legs and his tricky touch helps us win this game. 72mins

Then Lallana with his left foot makes the closest of chances when the ball goes inches wide from the post 12 yards out. Come on Saints push harder.

Pittman has a good run against us but the ball goes wide and Kelvin lets it go wide. 81mins

Free kick 40 yards out and this is Lambert territory. Straight ball and the goaler makes the direct save as Hammond and Papa are close enough for a rebound.

The clock is clicking to the end and let's hope we haven't dumped another 2 points! The Saints crowd are cheering on and we are trying to push on the gas to get this win.

A.Lallana is off and Wayne Thomas is on a bit more muscle on the 90min. That's something different W.Thomas in midfield.

Game Over!! And this is cruel but I can't complain because Wycombe have played very good and we lacked quality. I expected that the Saints were going to play especially in the second half with more heart, passion and desire! We didn't play as a unity today unlike when we played against Norwich.
